Data Analyst

We are seeking a Data Analyst who is passionate about turning data into actionable insights. This role involves a balance of data analytics, data wrangling, and a deep understanding of various data analytics tools. 

The ideal candidate will be an analytical problem solver, capable of interpreting complex data and translating it into strategic guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Power BI for advanced data visualization and analytics.
  • Connect Power BI with various data sources such as SQL, Azure, and other cloud services to ensure seamless data integration
  • Demonstrate intermediate data analytics skills, including data cleaning and wrangling, using tools such as Excel and Python.
  • Conduct data analytics using SQL, extracting and interpreting data from various sources.
  • Apply Python programming for a range of data analytics tasks.
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., Azure, AWS) for data processing and analytics.
  • Show a proven ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain a strong data analytics portfolio, showcasing a range of skills and projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analytics, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Python, and SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services such as Azure or AWS.

Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer who is passionate about harnessing the power of Azure for end-to-end solutions in machine learning projects. This role involves not just developing machine learning models but also managing data, leveraging Azure Synapse for analytics, creating compelling visualizations with Power BI, and utilizing Azure ML Studio for streamlined model development. The ideal candidate will be skilled in navigating the Azure ecosystem and be capable of linking various Azure services to create seamless, efficient data pipelines and machine learning workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Management Expertise: Manage and organize data effectively using Azure’s data management tools, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
  • Azure Synapse Analytics: Leverage Azure Synapse for complex data analytics tasks, integrating various data sources and applying advanced analytics techniques.
  • Power BI Development: Create dynamic and insightful data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, transforming data into actionable business intelligence.
  • Machine Learning with Azure ML Studio: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Azure ML Studio, ensuring models are accurate, efficient, and scalable.
  • End-to-End Azure Solutions: Seamlessly integrate various Azure services to create comprehensive end-to-end solutions for machine learning projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide technical solutions. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree / HND in Demography, Surveying, Mathematics, Urban Planning, Geography, Geographic Information System, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 / 4 years of progressively responsible experience, implementing, monitoring, evaluation
  • Experience with GIS tools and platforms like ARCGIS, QGIS etc.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, and proven experience in developing and facilitating the use of data visualization and digitalization, including infographics, motion graphics, dashboards, scorecards, factsheets, etc.
  • Good verbal, listening, writing, social media and interpersonal skills essential for effective interaction among stakeholders in a broad range of activities.

Geospatial Data Scientist

The role is a professional responsible for advanced geospatial analytics, statistical analysis and visualization. The role will deploy theory and practice to identify and communicate data-driven insights that allow managers, stakeholders, and other executives to make evidence-based decisions at all times using different types of mobility, satellite and geospatial dataset.

The expert leading this function will use statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns, correlations and causalities valuable for diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Summarize, analyse, develop analytic dashboards and interpret data, including the use of digital visualization and infographics.
  • Transform and integrate complex geospatial data from multiple sources into accessible, understandable and usable information via easy-to-use visualization frameworks and statistical summarization.
  • Promote the use of geospatial data by providing meaning to data-interpreting and presenting complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner (storytelling with data), applying business knowledge to provide meaningful context for data, turning data into insights and action
  • Identify data visualization tools and techniques that might be utilized to enhance the quality and effectiveness of DSN offerings, especially the plan to offer Data Visualisation as a service.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap for utilization of self-service geospatial data tools in data query and interpretation.
  • Create designs to support the presentation of reports and statistical data using.
  • Collaborate and align with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate customer needs into visualization requirements, and work to deliver world-class visualizations, data stories while ensuring data quality and integrity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong expertise in Azure Data Management, Azure Synapse, Power BI, and Azure ML Studio.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning models.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
