I run a startup called NumberBoost based in Cape Town with clients all over the world We turn cutting edge deep learning into software products. We have won many startup competitions including with Mercedes-Benz where we built an app that uses computer vision to detect dents and scratches from photos. We have around 10 people on our team and have build solutions running at scale in almost every industry. We use the latest technologies including TPUs, docker, react, etc.

I also do a lot of community work. I chaired the organizing committee for the Deep Learning IndabaX conference last week in Cape Town with over 200 attendees and 30 speakers. I also organize the Cape Town Machine Learning meet-up group with 400 members and also mentor for the Machine Intelligence Institute of Africa in collaboration with Dr. Jacques Ludik.
