The role is to manage and develop content for DSN and associated businesses/projects’ social media accounts, blogs, bulk emailing platforms and websites. The individual will manage the organization’s digital footprint, online mentions, press tracking, content proofreading and editing, and ensuring digital brand compliance. 

In addition, the expert will lead the brand communication, communication development, thematic advertising, social campaigns, campaign planning, media engagement, grassroots mobilisation initiatives, media partnership, influencer ecosystem management and other below-the-line initiatives. 


Social Media Management

  • Manages all DSN and partner projects’ social media accounts; 
  • Manages social media calendars, tracking and identifying content and influencers; 
  • Works and supports the various dedicated social media or web teams on specific projects  
  • Stays up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications; and 
  • Develops and implements social media strategies.

Content Management

  • Develops visually creative and engaging contents to communicate DSN’s  key messages;
  • Works with the various internal and external partners to develop relevant contents  
  • Provides input on strategy for content and distribution 
  • Tracks DSN news mention and develops monthly media summaries, with specific media monitoring around events and campaigns;

Blog and Website Content development

  • Supports website editing and uploading of content; 
  • Contributes to the development of a web strategy; 
  • Maintains the content structure, accuracy and recency of all DSN and project websites and blogsite (e.g. Medium, Wikipedia). This includes content edits, updates, new sliders, stories, videos, fact sheets, updating data, etc. 
  • Drive effective SEO optimization  
  • Removes and archives content when outdated; 
  • Identifies missing content, broken links, needed updates, or errors etc. 
  • Analyzes website traffic such as searches, referrals, popular pages, top keywords, etc. and produces monthly reports on website analytics and SEO; and 
  • Maintains and updates DSN internal communications website, with at least monthly updates. 

Corporate and Branding

  • Develop brand template and guideline  
  • public relations and communication strategies  
  • Develop and implement a digital marketing strategy 
  • Plan and manage media schedule, content creation and distribution  
  • Plan, coordinate and produce marketing campaigns including events materials, press releases, social media and web content 
  • Continuously monitor, measure and improve effectiveness of communication initiatives. 
  • Write, edit and proofread copy for promotional materials within marketing campaigns. 
  • Ensure that the organisation’s brand and identity is adhered to in campaigns and in all communication channels. 
  • Collect and use data to inform new campaigns and the evaluation of existing campaigns. 
  • Take responsibility for the organisation of any public event, trade shows or exhibitions. 

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-5 years of professional and proven work experience as a social media manager 
  • Hands-on experience in developing web-based content 
  • Ability to conceptualize and develop creative content (text, image,video) 
  • Excellent writing and copywriting skills 
  • Familiarity with web design 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Analytical and multitasking skills Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics 
  • Proficiency in editing and writing, social media marketing (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Medium, LinkedIn, Youtube) etc. Oral and written communication skills and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret energy and communication related content. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
